Zemea® propanediol is a 100% plant-based, naturally-derived, skin-friendly, preservative-boosting alternative to petroleum-based glycols for formulators who desire versatile, natural skin care ingredients for their formulations. Zemea® propanediol is ideally suited for many different skin and body care applications, including moisturizers, cleansers, anti-aging products, sunscreens, anti-acne products, sensitive skin products, deodorant, baby care and wipes.

Zemea® propanediol is certified natural by the Natural Products Association (NPA) and considered a naturally-derived organic ingredient under the definitions of ISO 16128-1. It can replace petroleum-based glycols such as propylene glycol, butylene glycol and glycerin in formulations.
