Susterra® for Geothermal and Solar Applications

    When it comes to harnessing the power of the sun and earth, why fill your system with an underperforming, petroleum-based heat-transfer fluid? Susterra® propanediol offers a higher-performing, bio-based alternative to propylene glycol for solar and geothermal heat-transfer fluids.


    Susterra® propanediol (1,3-propanediol) and propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol) have exactly the same chemical formula, but slightly different structures. This structural difference gives Susterra® propanediol enhanced thermal stability, decreasing fluid degradation and system corrosion and improving the efficiency of high-heat applications such as solar and geothermal process heating. Plus, every drop of our pure, bio-based glycol is renewably sourced from plant materials, not petroleum—so you can feel good about every drop you use.
